In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Latest Free Story Update
This release also introduces the game's third complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
