Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who jumped a barrier and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video reveals the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast walked down a promenade surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains videos of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further message on Instagram.

Some fans also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Many of fans had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The film, to be released on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a two-part adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely relationship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen award recognitions, earning two for best costume and production design.
