Renowned Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at 60 Years Old.
Stateside performer Finn, who appeared in popular TV shows such as Friends, Seinfeld and "The Middle", has succumbed at 60 years old.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in LA recently after undergoing treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, as reported by reports.
"Pat Finn saw everyone as a friend - only friends he hadn't encountered," his family said in a statement.
They noted that he had "embraced life completely - with joy and exuberance".
An Extensive Career on Screen
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the brother of the main character.
He subsequently landed a regular part on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, depicting a host known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous popular shows, like:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House, M.D.
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight series from 2011 to 2018.
His work in movies are It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
A Life in Improv
Away from his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was a member of a comedy group of six known as "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored numerous pupils throughout the years and it would be difficult to find someone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
In a tribute, peer Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, helping you be funnier and better. A wonderful father and man," he shared online.
The actor is leaves behind his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
