Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts
The Gunners' ten-match winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but can the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' latest record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football side," he said.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a football club for a while too.
"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Top Division Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.
West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's pick: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.
My son advised me to get Brentford striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had great success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. Brentford will try to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
Fulham have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
Their performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.
However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I really need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
Olly's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
